“I will always advise on what I think is best while, I listen to your preferences. I usually design my own pieces based on color theory, shape, and spatial arrangement.
Ultimately, my goal is that you have something that you LOVE so we work together to make the best possible version of your vision.”
THE HISTORY OF
K JUDD JEWELRY & DESIGNS
I've always cherished the impact jewelry has on an individual. From a young age I adored looking at, and playing with fine jewelry. As I grew, I enjoyed learning about sciences: biology, chemistry, and physics. I also really enjoyed the arts, as a child I took an adult painting class for years to channel my creativity. I was a part of the national Art Honor society in high school, and later graduated from Texas A&M with a biology degree.
My path was not on the straight and narrow to the Jewelry industry after college. I spent 10 years managing for a high-end retail company. I was immersed in running a multi-million dollar business. I am grateful for the experience now that I have ventured into owning and managing my own business. I learned how to be a leader for the world, to love my customers and provide the most quality merchandise and experience for them. I didn't know how to incorporate my love of the arts with my love of science until I became a jewelry designer.
There are so many aspects of jewelry that you must know the science behind in order to get the piece right. Jewelry has so many artistic components; spatial arrangement, gemstone color, metal color, light refraction and textures. When I see a beautiful piece of jewelry, I am not only enamored with the created piece but also with my Creator. As many would stand and look at the greatness of the vast ocean and be in complete awe, I can look at a gemstone or well-crafted piece of jewelry and have the same feeling. I truly love designing something from nothing and seeing the joy in others when they have their completed piece.
Personally, as a jewelry collector, I have obtained jewelry at different important times in my life; after a hard breakup, during a sweet relationship, on an adventure or trip, after my babies were born, important birthdays, remembering a death, a time when God pulled me through a hard time, or when I just wanted to remember. I go through the day to day with little reminders of who I am and where I have been. My goal is to do that for others; create something that is authentically them, so when they wear it, they are stirred internally, and it brings them joy.
“We use local jewelers and gem sources as a team to take designs and make them a reality.”

Grandma Gloria
It may have all started here with my “Grandma”Gloria. She used to be my babysitter for years when my sister and I were young. Our favorite past time with her was dressing up in all her costume jewelry and doing her “make up.” I learned how to accessorize and to not be basic for anyone. She told me to get completely ready then take one accessory off, that this would balance the look. I still think of this every time I put my jewelry on, but I rarely ever take anything off.

My stepmom of over 25+ years. She’s where the fine jewelry love started for me! She always had unique, beautiful jewelry that my dad would buy her. She’d let me wear it around the house, play with the real deal, I’m talking diamonds on a 7-year-old. It never phased her, and I felt like a princess in it. Now most of that jewelry is mine and I will get to pass it to my little girl one day. She fed my love for jewelry from a very young age and made me feel important enough to have my own.

This woman was a second mom to me, and one of the many things she taught me was about quality. Name brands for make-up, jewelry, cook ware, dishes, etc. She introduced me to James Avery and I do believe every penny of my allowance went to that store for years. Charms on charms on charms! We would sit and look at catalogs planning our next purchase. I have since moved on from James Avery obviously, but still have an appreciation for well built silver jewelry.

My sister showed me that expressing yourself through creativity and the love of what you do is more important than anything- especially money. This concept contrasted with my thought process, which was- make as much money as possible and then you get to be creative. One day at lunch she said “you have to do what you love, money isn’t everything.” She knew there was a cap on her roles earning potential, but she didn’t care, she loved her job. Now, I believe she has far surpassed that earning cap and if you ever get to talk to her about her work, you will see the passion, she has for it. Her example put life into perspective for me and now I have been able to confidently chose a life of creativity and passion, which has led to success and happiness..

Every passion I have had this woman has fueled it. I asked to be a part of something and there I was. I remember her advocating for me to be the only child in an adult only art class and she managed to convince them I was good enough. I took adult classes for years because she didn’t care what the flier said. In recent, she had seen what not feeding my mental health had done to my overall health, and she was the first to say it’s time to make a change and move on. She encouraged me to take a leave from a steady income, take care of my mental health, and eventually take an entry level job in the jewelry industry. She knew I loved jewelry and that it would take me somewhere. She was excited with me, and I’ll never forget the support I received from her to start, what felt like, all over again. Little did I know in less than a year I’d be running a successful Jewelry and Design business.

As the Egyptians were in the wilderness for 40 years while God kindly and patiently prepared them for their new life, he has done the same for me. It is all too clear that I have personally experienced my own exodus, been prepared in the wilderness, and now have landed in the place flowing with milk and honey. My God is a faithful God, He has a plan to prosper you, He is good, and He loves us. This is a testimony of my faith. To be clear, there is no way I could have intricately fabricated this life or my gifts on my own.

My Husband. Have you ever met someone who was your biggest fan, believed in your capabilities more than you did, and put you above all else? That is my husband. Of course, it’s not all rainbows and butterflies- we have experienced great loss, chronic mental & physical illness, and lots of day-to-day distress, but we have by the grace of God persevered. I love this man more than anyone walking this earth. In fact, I have named this business to highlight my husband and our family name. He more than anyone wants to see me happy and using my gifts. I certainly wouldn’t have taken this leap of faith without his encouragement and confidence in me. Added bonus- He loves buying me jewelry, we reminisce when I wear different pieces and he loves telling our stories to others. He also managed to find me my first custom job with KJUDD LLC because he was telling everyone about my new venture.
